King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade
2013  will be the first year I don't ride as a Princess in the parade.  After four years of riding we needed to take a break and to give others an opportunity to ride.  The exciting news was 14 applications were received by the Commission a first in many years.  When I first rode there were only three islands going down the road.  Every year there after all eight islands were represented and this year was the first that more than eight women applied to ride as Princess.  Thanks to the hard work of Beverly Lee and the Commission riding in the Kamehameha Day Celebration Floral Parade is a sought out experience.  The Parade has come a long way forward since I started and I'm looking forward to its continued growth to what it was when we were kids.

I was honored by the 2013 Queen - Gloria Awakuni to be asked to ride as Marshal or Attendant.  I chose Marshal and can't wait to ride down the road in her unit.

This year's parade is held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 and will start at the Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha Statue on King Street in Honolulu.  The parade travels down Punchbowl, on to Nimitz/Ala Moana Blvd., to Kalakaua and ends at Kapiolani Park in Waikiki.  Bring your chairs, umbrellas, and lots of water and enjoy.  A hui hou...

Pa'u Riding is one of the only truly Hawaiian experiences of this parade and we want to keep the tradition alive.  Granted we can't fly down the streets like Queen Emma did on her rides with her Pa'u flaring out behind her at a gallop.... wouldn't that be fun.  We strive to provide all the enjoyment of the horse and pa'u rider we can.

We have compiled a Calendar of this years 95th King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade into a calendar for 2012.  We feature each Island, The Queen's, The Pa'u Marshall, and The Grand Marshall's Unit too.

Photos of unit members, their horses, handlers, and spectators are included... we used over a 150 photos and hope that the memory of this years parade was captured for all to enjoy.   Thanks to Lionel Seals he has provided the photos used in the Calendar.

Each calendar is $20.00.  Order as many as you want.  By clicking on the link below you can enter the quantity you want to order and pay.  You will be prompted to include your shipping address.  The reason why is that we will mail the calendars to you directly.  Even if you don't have a PayPal Account you can use this wonderful payment method.
